Planned Infrastructure Maintenance, NVMe Storage Upgrade

Dear Customers,

To improve overall platform performance and long-term stability, Purpify will be performing scheduled infrastructure maintenance involving an upgrade and replacement of our NVMe storage configuration.

What is changing

We are swapping and reconfiguring NVMe drives on the affected node to eliminate existing storage bottlenecks and significantly reduce I/O wait times under load. This maintenance is part of our ongoing effort to improve consistency, responsiveness, and reliability across the platform.

The upgrade is expected to provide:

Faster disk read/write performance
Reduced latency during peak usage
Improved service responsiveness
Better long-term storage stability
Elimination of current I/O wait related slowdowns
Expected Impact

During the maintenance window, affected services will experience temporary downtime while storage migration and validation are completed.

Estimated downtime: Approximately 1 hour

While we expect the process to complete within the estimated window, additional time may be required if extended integrity checks are necessary to ensure data consistency and platform stability.

Why this maintenance is necessary

The current storage setup has shown elevated I/O wait under certain workloads, which can lead to inconsistent performance and slower response times. By replacing and optimizing the NVMe storage layer, we are addressing these limitations directly to ensure a faster and more stable environment moving forward.
