Overview

Purpify Host is currently experiencing ongoing distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack activity targeting our New York infrastructure location. While upstream protection remains active, we have identified that certain attack traffic is successfully bypassing existing mitigation layers and reaching parts of our network infrastructure.

As a result, some services may experience intermittent instability, elevated latency, packet loss, or temporary disruptions during periods of increased attack intensity.

Current Situation

Our monitoring systems detected abnormal inbound traffic patterns consistent with large-scale Layer 3/4 DDoS activity targeting infrastructure hosted within the New York region.

The attacks involve multiple traffic patterns, including:

  • High packet-per-second flood traffic
  • Randomized and spoofed source traffic
  • Protocol abuse targeting edge infrastructure
  • Burst attack patterns designed to bypass mitigation thresholds

At this time, there is no indication of hardware failure, data compromise, or unauthorized access. The incident is strictly related to malicious network traffic.

Mitigation Actions

Purpify Host engineers are actively strengthening our in-house filtering systems to improve detection and mitigation effectiveness against the ongoing attacks.

Current actions include:

  • Deploying stricter internal filtering policies
  • Enhancing packet inspection and validation systems
  • Training and refining filtering behavior using live attack data
  • Increasing anomaly detection sensitivity
  • Improving automated mitigation responses
  • Expanding real-time traffic monitoring and analysis

Our mitigation systems are continuously adapting as new traffic patterns are identified during the attacks.

Impact

Customers hosted within the New York location may experience:

  • Temporary packet loss
  • Increased latency
  • Brief service interruptions
  • Reduced network performance during attack spikes

Our team continues working to minimize customer impact while strengthening long-term mitigation capabilities.

Ongoing Monitoring

The situation remains under active monitoring. Additional filtering updates and mitigation adjustments may be deployed dynamically as attack methods evolve.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers while we continue improving protection and network stability.
